Auglle, a North-American company specialized in surveillance devices development reached out back in 2014 looking to develop an enclosure design for their latest wireless security camera system.
After analyzing the technical and formal requirements of the customer and consumers the general concept guided the design process into a formal configuration that mimics the urban environment and at the same time communicates a robust and long-lasting product relying on multiple hard-edge volumes arrays and surface finishes simulating metals even though the product is completely manufactured in plastics.
Unlike other products on the market this design was created considering an easy access for maintenance and mounting. The cooling of internal components i given by using the very same formal configuration of the product.
Although the visual field of the internal components can only cover 180 degrees, the design simulates a field of view of 360 degrees to mislead those being watched.
